EuroWindoor reflects on an intense year 2025 and sends warm Holiday Wishes

Frankfurt, December 2025 – As the year draws to a close, EuroWindoor looks back on an intense and productive 2025 marked by regulatory milestones, strong member engagement and important contributions to shaping Europe’s legal framework for windows, doors and façades.

A central focus throughout the year was the implementation of the revised Construction Products Regulation (CPR 2024/3110/EU). EuroWindoor actively accompanied the development of the Standardisation Request and continued its expert contribution to the Technical Acquis for windows and doors. Across more than 30 meetings, EuroWindoor consistently highlighted in positions and replies to consultations the need for practical solutions, reduced administrative burden — especially for SMEs — and balanced roles of Notified Bodies under the new CPR. Members also exchanged views directly with the European Commission at several occasions, especially in a dedicated meeting with DG GROW in November, addressing open questions and challenges in the transition to the new framework.

Energy efficiency and sustainability were likewise key priorities in 2025. EuroWindoor supported the European Commission’s work on generic datasets to ensure cost-effective and harmonised environmental assessments, and repeatedly underlined shortcomings in the current technical screening criteria of the EU Taxonomy for windows and curtain walling. The continuation of the joint social media campaign on window replacement helped raise awareness of the significant contribution of modern, energy-efficient windows to the EU’s climate and renovation objectives.

In addition, EuroWindoor provided input on the Digital Product Passport rules for service providers and participated actively in consultations on the Standardisation Regulation and the Circular Economy Act. The association also celebrated an important internal milestone: 10 years of EuroWindoor AISBL marking a decade of unified representation for the European window, door and façade sector.

As we look back on this year of strong collaboration and steady progress, EuroWindoor extends its heartfelt thanks to all members, partners and stakeholders for their constructive engagement and ongoing support.

We wish everyone a joyful festive season and a prosperous New Year filled with new opportunities, continued cooperation and shared achievements.

Happy Holidays from EuroWindoor!
