Frankfurt, December 2025 – EuroWindoor took part in the public consultation on the draft delegated regulation on resistance to fire performance classes under Construction Products Regulation (EU) 2024/3110. The organisation supports the Commission’s aim of a harmonised EU approach aligned with previous Regulation (EU) No 305/2011.
EuroWindoor raises concerns about the application of fire resistance class EI-M to windows, particularly fixed windows. Although their inclusion alongside partitions helps close a regulatory gap, EI-M includes an impact test that exceeds the technical design and existing test standards for windows.
EuroWindoor therefore considers EI-M not technically justified for windows and proposes adding a note stating: “Class EI-M is not applicable for fixed windows.”
