Prague, June 2025 – EuroWindoor members gathered in the Czech capital for their summer Directing Council meeting to exchange views on national and European developments impacting the window, door, and façade sector.
A key focus of the meeting was the initial implementation phase of the new Construction Products Regulation (CPR). Particular attention was given to the Technical Acquis process, which aims to develop new standardisation requests, along with the associated challenges and practical implications for manufacturers. EuroWindoor is actively engaged in this process, providing extensive feedback and proposals to the European Commission through regular ad hoc meetings, held almost weekly in recent months.
The meeting also provided a platform for an open exchange among members, who shared key developments and priorities from their respective countries. These insights highlighted both the diversity of national approaches and the need for strong coordination between national and EU-level engagement.
The program began the day before with a tour of the Masaryčka building, designed by Zaha Hadid, showcasing the remarkable architectural project and the complex challenges faced by the façade manufacturer during its realisation. Plenty of opportunities for informal discussions and networking complemented the official agenda.
The meeting reaffirmed EuroWindoor’s commitment to representing the interests of the industry through constructive dialogue with EU institutions and stakeholders—ensuring a unified, coordinated response to shared challenges across Europe.
